Alinea and its commercial services division, Paraquad Industries, would like to acknowledge the International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), which is held on 3 December each year.
IDPwD is a United Nations observed day aimed at increasing public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability.
The Australian Government has been supporting IDPwD since 1996 and provides funds to promote and raise awareness of the day and support activities around Australia.
As part of our celebration of this day, Alinea’s Recreation Services is running Marketability, an annual showcase of art and creativity, which is held in the Paraquad Industries Hall, 4 Orton Road, Shenton Park. This year it features various artworks by Shane O’Connor, a resident of the Quadriplegic Centre, which is next to Alinea’s Shenton Park HQ.
Come along and check out the display and while you’re here feel free to visit the Op Shop and the Book Bazaar (stocking some quality discards from the State Library), and grab a bite to eat at the on-site Alinea Cafe.
Our Client Services team also organised a cake and a sausage sizzle to celebrate the day.
