An Alinea Employee
An Alinea employee is someone special – at least, we think so.
We recruit people who believe in our core values, can demonstrate them in word and action and are committed to our proactive ‘can do’ attitude. People we employ who embrace our way of doing things are such an important part of maintaining the amazing culture that we have and continue to grow. That is the ‘Alinea family’.
Our ‘family’ is a ‘big tent’ in terms of the sheer variety of areas the organisation encompasses.
Our staff care for the elderly and undertake nursing and lifestyle work in our aged care facilities, care for people with a disability, work in a hands-on role in one of our op shops, and work in administration or finance, among other roles.
As an organisation, our history stretches back to the 1940s, and in that time, a specific culture of genuine community has evolved.
Typically, someone will find themselves working for Alinea for a long period of time – enjoying the professional and friendly colleagues, focused and caring management, and work that can often be stimulating and rewarding (as our two main streams of work involve care for/engagement with seniors and people with a disability).

Regular comments that have come up again and again when we’ve surveyed our staff (which we do periodically) are that they enjoy the ‘sense of community’ and ‘working for a purpose – feeling like you achieve something for others’.
