Paraquad Industries regularly donates broken bags and belts that can’t be sold at its op shops to The Re-Shed, a not-for-profit social enterprise promoting mental and physical wellbeing while actively reducing waste and fostering good environmental stewardship.
This Community Shed utilises all the unwanted, unneeded, broken and gifted tools, equipment and materials from homes and businesses in the wider community. Over 90% of what they use would otherwise have gone to landfill.
Paraquad’s donations are typically disassembled with the bits and pieces used in 3D art creations. The artwork featured in the photos was created at a Re-Shed workshop yesterday that was held in collaboration with ‘Doorways Community Support’, a program run by The Salvation Army.
Paraquad is proud to play a role in such a worthwhile community program. To find out more about Re-Shed, visit their new website: www.re-shed.org.au
