Yesterday, we held the inaugural PTA Workshop for 11 Alinea aged care staff working in our aged care facilities with residents’ physiotherapy exercises and individual plans.

The day was facilitated by two of Alinea’s physiotherapists working at our Bayswater sites, Osboine & Ritcher Lodge.

Ashlee Jones and Annette Le, both experienced physiotherapists, presented on a range of topics including massage, pressure injuries, functional exercises, fractures, and heart disease.

One of Alinea’s occupational therapists, Janelle Green, presented sessions on Splints & Contractures plus Pressure injuries & IAD management strategies.

We also had two visiting presenters, Wendy Johnson, a physiotherapist from Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, talking on Lymphoedema, and Jo Chadwick, a clinical nurse specialist from Parkinson’s WA, speaking on management strategies for people living with advanced Parkinson’s disease.

It was a full day but enjoyed by all.
