Today, Alinea is celebrating the 20th anniversary of our aged care facility Osboine Contemporary Care (in Bayswater)!
By the early 2000s, Alinea had already established the Camelia Court retirement village and Ritcher Lodge, a ‘low care’ aged care facility, on its Bayswater site.
Alinea had also by then bought and renovated the Koh-I-Noor facility, a ‘high care’ location in Wembley.
At the time, perceiving the demand for another ‘high care’ facility, the Alinea Board decided to build Osboine Contemporary Care at the Bayswater site.
The new facility, opened in 2004, was named after Eric Osboine, the then President (and long-standing member) of one of Alinea’s forerunner organisations, the Civilian Maimed & Limbless Association.
Changes to the aged care system in later years did away with the ‘high’ and ‘low’ care definitions.
Alinea would like to salute all of the nursing and care staff who have helped build the amazing legacy at Osboine!
